So I haven't blogged in ages and decided it was time to "revive" it! Poor Quinn, Will's whole life has been documented on the blog and I just have bits and pieces on Quinn :( I need 24 more hours in a day. I will post recent pics of little Quinn soon!

We went to Disney with some of our best friends (Allan and Lori) and had so much fun! We left the little babies with the grandparents and took Will and Avery (their little girl) and they had a blast! We only went for a few days and were exhausted by the end of it! Will loved all the rides, meeting the characters, etc. He is still talking about "Dismee."

We spent Christmas with my family in Atlanta and had a great time! I stayed for almost two weeks - enjoying the break:) Michael went home for a few days to work then came back for New Years so we could go to the Chic-fil-A Bowl. Didn't turn out so well for the Vols, but we had a good time with friends!

Oh my where do I begin? We got a ton of snow before Christmas. It was beautiful and fun to play in...however we lost power for a day and a half, had two car accidents (in the same car and wasn't our fault), it was a pretty crazy week! Will loved playing in the snow - hope we get more this year!

Lots of pictures! We have had a busy October/November! Mimi came up for Halloween and we had such a good time! Will was a race car driver and Michael was his race fan! Mimi went as the checkered flag lady...I was a bee and Quinn was a little flower! Her petals were so floppy around her head...not what the pic on the internet showed where I ordered it:( oh well she still looked cute!

I can't believe my baby boy is 3! It is like he grew up overnight! We celebrated his birthday this weekend with family and friends and had such a great time. Here are a few pictures from the party weekend! Happy Birthday sweet boy...

so I have all of these really great pics of Quinn, but haven't downloaded them:( oh well, poor second child....I have got to be better about the picture thing!!! Anyway, Quinn is now 4 months old. Where has the time gone???? She had her 4 month check up the other day - she weighs 16 lbs. 8 oz. (big girl, but still smaller than Will - boy was 18 lbs at 4 mos. !) and 24 1/2 inches. She is such a good baby with the best little squishy cheeks to kiss. I have so much fun dressing her (little girls have so many more "accessories") - thank goodness because Will is about out of the "smocked" phase. This is probably the last year. He is only about to be 3, but he looks 4 :( Quinn is such a little squealer and just smiles all of the time. I feel so blessed to be the mommy of my two little bitties.

Will is a mess these days...he is so much fun! He is definitely entering his independent phase or "my own agenda" phase. While he wants to do his own thing, his way - he really wants mommy and daddy to "pway wif me." How can you say no to that! He is beyond sweet and gentle with Quinn - he shares his cars and talks to her just like we do - you know that high pitched tone. It's really cute. He is also obsessed with chocolate. I have a candy bowl on the counter and he is now tall enough to reach it and he swipes candy out of it all of the time. Maybe that is why he won't take naps these days...Anyway, he turns 3 in November - got to plan a party!

I posted a pic of him from the other day. We had family pictures made - can't wait to see how they turned out. Michael snapped a couple of him on the front porch...he looks so big :(

My mom has been begging me to update the blog more regularly! So I had a few moments to do so...

We are staying pretty busy here. We went to the beach with the Carmans and the Hollands at the beginning of September. We had a great time! Quinn did really well and Will of course LOVED the beach. He did not want to get out of the ocean.

Quinn is getting bigger by the day! She is such a happy baby and smiles all of the time! So sweet! She will be 4 months in about a week....the time sure flies.

Will is doing well too! He loves his new school, but was out last week because he was sick:( I can't believe he will be 3 in November! I love my two little kiddos...

I need to start up the giveaways - I will do one for October. I have been working on some new stuff....so be sure to check back!

It has been a while since I added pictures and I finally had a free moment to put some on the blog. We are doing well. Quinn will be 11 weeks on Thursday (time is flying!). She had her two month checkup a couple of weeks ago...she is 13lbs (96% - following in her brother's footsteps, he was actually 14lbs at 2 mos.) and 22 inches (67%). She is healthy and doing great! She coos and "talks" all of the time! More than I remember Will doing at this age...she is a girl though right? Girls love to talk don't we!?!

Will is doing great too! Talking NON-STOP and saying the funniest things! Asks the same questions over and over and over....he is so funny! He started preschool last week and seems to really like it. He is going 3 days a week from 9-1 so it is a nice little break and time I can get things done and spend time with Quinn. Poor thing is always strapped into something while we run around or am entertaining Will!

Not much else is going on around here. I am trying to keep up with jewelry orders. I think I will able to start up the JEWELRY GIVEAWAYS next month - I have missed doing those! So be sure to check back...We are going to the beach in September and I cannot wait! I know it will be a little crazy with an almost 3 year old and a 3 month old - but it will be great! We always go with the Carman's and the Holland's every year so it will be a total of 6 kiddos! Enjoy the pics!

This past week Dee, Abby and Beau came for a visit. We had the best time hanging out and watching the kids play. They all love each other and play so well together - we wish they were closer! They went fishing, swimming, played outside, it was great! Abby and Beau loved seeing Quinn - funny story, Beau had been sick so Dee Dee had been telling him he couldn't touch Quinn. So we went out to dinner one night for my birthday and I was putting Quinn in the car to leave and Beau climbs up to look at her in her car seat. I can't remember now if it was me or Dee Dee that said..."Beau be..." before we could finish he says, "I am JUST going to look, I am NOT going to touch!" He was like give me a break people I have only been told 100 times - I get it! It was really funny and cute. We love you guys and miss you already!

We have been in the process of fencing in our yard and it has turned into a bigger project than we expected...I wanted a fence for Will so he could play in the yard and I wouldn't have to worry about him running in the street. Most of our yard is on the side of the house where the patio is...so we are close to being finished! They made the brick base for the fence and are waiting on the iron to be put up... They finished the fireplace last week and we are really excited with how it turned out! Hopefully it will be sodded and everything finished by the end of the month!

Michael's Aunt Tina, Uncle Mehul, Mehul's parents from India, Aunt Ramona, cousins Mikail, Nicole and Wesley came to see us and meet little Quinn. They live in Boston, Ramona and Wesley are in Knoxville, and came down south for a visit with family in Nashville. They were so sweet to make a special trip here to see us! We had a great time catching up. Will had fun showing off and to this day is still asking, "Where did Uncle Mehul go?" If I have said, "Back to Boston," once I have said it 100 times!!! Thank you guys so much for the visit! We love you and hope to see you all again soon!

We have been pretty busy since my last post...life with two is pretty crazy, but also pretty great!

This was a VERY sad day...after being with us nearly 4 weeks she finally had to leave :( I cannot even begin to thank my mom enough for all of the help! It really made the transition to two kids a lot easier!!! Thank you soooooo much mom (and dad for letting us have her!)! I love you both so much! We all cried, but Will was the most pitiful - he just bawled! It was upsetting!

next week may be another story! Mom leaves on Monday...tear:( I or we rather have been spoiled these last three weeks with all the help. Now we get to see what life is really like with two!!!! Actually we are doing really great and are SO happy to have little Quinn! She is such a good baby! She basically wakes up to eat at night and all but a couple of nights she goes right back down without a peep. Will LOVES her and is so gentle and sweet with her. I couldn't have asked for a better response to her! Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks. It is so true that you don't take as many pictures with the second...I have got to be better about it!

Quinn is here! She was born June 4 at 1:27 pm...8 lbs 4 oz and 20 3/4 inches. We are already home and she is doing great! Here are some pictures from today and yesterday...Thanks to everyone for the prayers and well wishes! OF COURSE the pictures are out of order!!! Oh well...

I have to brag for a minute...I gave him some pretzels yesterday and I heard him say, "makin' letters" and sure enough he was! Not to bad for a 2.5 year old!

So tomorrow we will find out when the induction will be...either the 4th or the 8th. I am hoping for the 4th, of course. I am getting excited and am really excited about not being pregnant anymore! I think I really experienced being pregnant for the first time this go around. When I was pregnant with Will I was on bedrest at 29 weeks so all I did for 8 weeks was lay around on the couch! Different story this time...Will has kept me super busy and I am really feeling the "pains" of pregnancy! It's not really that bad, but my energy level is zapped and well it's just kind of hard to do all the things you need to do carrying 30 extra pounds of weight and worrying about over-doing it!

Here are a few pictures of Will...we are enjoying playing outside in the warm weather! We are in the process of making over our backyard. We just got a new retaining wall (we back up to a hill and needed more yard space), next week they are starting our fence, and then will sod. The fence was a must have to contain Will! Now we can play outside while the baby naps, etc.

Not much else is going here. Hopefully next time I post it will be pictures of Quinn!

I am going to skip the drawing for the month of June for obvious reasons...Quinn will be here! I went to the doctor yesterday and we are going to set an induction date of either June 4 or June 8. My doctor will decide at my visit next week. They are going to do another ultrasound to be sure that she has turned. At my 32 week ultrasound she was breech - so they just want to make sure before they decide to induce! I can't believe how soon she will be here!!! Keep us in your prayers!

In other news, we finally have a name for our girl, Quinn. We are using Maire for the middle name which is my mom's middle name - so Quinn Maire. Sometimes I get odd looks when I tell the name, but I really love it! We always keep going back to it. I am 35 weeks now and my doctor will induce at 39 weeks so about 4 weeks! I have SO much to do...I am feeling the nesting bug now. I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy has gone by...we are so excited to meet little Quinn!

Promise to blog more pictures soon...too tired tonight and am in the middle of watching Slumdog Millionaire - good movie by the way!

Easter

We are officially no longer on vacation :( Michael and I went to the beach last week and mom and dad kept Will for us. It was our last kid-free trip for a while! We had so much fun. It was so laid back and relaxing! We slept in everyday, went to breakfast, then Michael would go play golf and I laid on the beach. It was great! Thank you sooooo much mom and dad! We took maybe 5 pictures the whole week. I really had no desire to document myself preggers and in a swimsuit...

Will had a great time with his Grandi and Grandad. Mom took a ton of pictures that I don't have so I will have to get those and post them. They dyed eggs, had an egg hunt, played outside for hours, went to High Museum and the Varsity, just had a big time. When we got back from the beach Will said (when he saw me), "Mommy away..." I guess that is a good thing though - he had so much fun!

We stayed for the weekend at my parents and went to their church egg hunt and then church on Sunday. Then back on the road! Then we are headed out of town again this weekend for cousin Beau's 3rd birthday! Will is really excited about seeing his cousins! Hope you all had a great Easter!

29 weeks this Friday - yay!
Oh deer!

I downloaded pictures from a couple of weeks ago! We took Will to a nature preserve park one Saturday and enjoyed being outside! Will loved running around and looking at all of the animals.

Here is the first belly picture we have taken this whole pregnancy! I am going to be 29 weeks this week. I can't believe how quickly it is flying by. I have SO much to do. She still doesn't have a name...we have a list, but just can't decide. I am hoping it all continues to go well. 29 weeks is when I was put on bedrest with Will, so I am a little anxious to push on through these next weeks. I am feeling fine and am so thankful for that!

So we are going on night 3 in the big boy bed. It is all good once he falls asleep, but getting him to sleep is the hard part. I have ended laying down with him every night to finally get him to sleep, but I really didn't want to start that! We have yet to turn the doornob around so I held it shut tonight when he tried to get out. He didn't cry and I know he isn't scared in his room at all. He only tried to open it three times then gave up. I just don't know when I should go back in to lay him back down - I really don't want him to be able to hang out and play with his toys - or do I? Maybe I need to get one of those video monitors. Did you have to lay down with your child to get them to sleep or did you just let them hang out and play in their rooms until they fall asleep on their own?

PLEASE HELP! Suggestions???

The Bed...

We are about to transition Will to a "big boy" bed. Mom was here all last week helping me paint Will's room and nursery, furniture, etc. We got a lot done! Thanks mom (and dad - he came over the weekend and helped too!). Anyway the bed was quite a saga. The weekend before my mom came I went to Atlanta to shop for some furniture. We went to Scott's Antique market where I could have spent a FORTUNE! They have so many great things there. Anyway, I found this bed (below). Loved it. I asked the guy...it is a standard twin, right? Oh yes maam...blah blah blah. So I am excited...

Well we get home paint it, distress it, have it all ready to go. We put it together - looks oh so cute. We put the box springs on or try rather...bed is TOO SHORT and TOO NARROW. I was not happy. So long story short we run around town looking for metal rails to fit - no such luck. What are we going to do??? I can't take it back and am not paying for custom made mattresses... The original bed rails ran along side the bed like panels almost and hooked into the headboard and footboard. So Michael ended up having to make new side rail panels and bolt them too the bed. You can still see I haven't painted those yet! He saved the day and wasn't too upset with me - haha! Should have measured it huh! I think all in all it turned out cute!
Still nothing on the walls and I think I am going to do white drapes...

Loving his new bed! He was also VERY excited his Uncle Kyle came to see him! If he said his name once he said it a 1000 times!

I have been such a blogger slacker here lately....blame facebook! :) Just kidding. I never post pictures on facebook really, but I waste a lot of time looking at everyone else's! ha! I decided to blog now since the Bachelor is being interrupted by the presidential news conference.

We have been busy playing outside and enjoying the nice weather like everyone else! It was crazy we had snow on the ground and then the next day it was 60 degrees! Enjoy the pictures!

I have been trying to upload pictures for days on here and it has not been letting me!!!! This is the only one I could get to upload tonight...grrrr! I have some cute outside pictures that Michael took when we had a slightly warm day, but they wouldn't upload.

We are doing well just trying to stay warm and waiting for spring! I don't know about the rest of you, but I am OVER winter and am ready for us to be able to play outside!!! There are only so many things you can do with a 2 year old indoors... Will is so much fun these days, talks non-stop and says some of the funniest things. I am now 21 weeks and feeling good! I can't wait to meet her!!! No name yet...

Latest baby news....

So I have hardly posted about being preggers! A friend sent an email the other day checking in on me because I hadn't mentioned much about the pregnancy! The second time around is sooo different! I don't have time to sit around and think about it all day every day like I did with Will! haha!

So I am 16 weeks and we will find out the gender on January 15th! Can't wait! Also, I started to feel he/she move this week which is always fun!

So after our trip to Atlanta we got geared up for all of Michael's family coming to town. Dee Dee, Toby and the kids came up from Shreveport for Christmas and were able to see Toby's family too because Toby is from up here...Anyway, we had a house full! We sat 12 people around the dining room table along with a kids table, a high chair and a partridge in a pear tree! It was a lot of fun filling up the house with people! The kids played great together! Will thinks Beau is hilarious and was so excited to play with him! Seriously what am I going to do with all the toys??? It is RIDICULOUS!

I took Will home to Atlanta for a few days to see my parents. Michael had to work and couldn't go :(. We had so much fun and my parents spoiled him ROTTEN with christmas presents which included a Ford F-150. He is SO hilarious when he drives it. Most of the time he throws his hands in the air like he is riding a roller coaster!

On the way to Atlanta I stopped by to see Casey and Henley in Chattanooga. They just moved into a new house (which is gorgeous!). We had fun catching up for a few hours and ate lunch at this place that I am still salivating over...

I met my parents, aunt, uncle, cousin, and her baby Claire at Lenox on the way in town too! We wanted to let the kids ride the Pink Pig (an Atlanta tradition) and see Santa (which I only have printed pictures of - I will have to scan them because it is really funny). I love Lenox mall at Christmas...

Sunday after church we went to Brunch with Santa. Will is okay with Santa as long as he doesn't have to sit in his lap. This Santa was so great - he told me not to try to make him sit in his lap. He got down on the floor with him and was showing him ornaments and talking about trains and cars and Will warmed up to him (without realizing it!). We got a couple of cute pictures of him.

There was another couple with their kids in the room with Santa. They had two cute little boys so I was like, "oh how old are they?" He tells me then says, "How old is she?" I said, "She's a he and he's two...is it the outfit? The hair?"

Be honest - does he look like a girl in this outfit? I thought it was relatively "boyish" smocked thing...oh well. I think he is cute and very manly :)

We had a great thanksgiving in Atlanta this year at my parent's house. I took lots of pictures of Will, but not many of the rest of the family! I need to hire a photographer to go with us everywhere because I am SO bad about not taking enough pictures...Anyway, we had a really good time. It was so relaxing - help with Will, shopping, Michael played golf and football, watched football, slept in late, ate lots of food...you get the idea! Hope all of you had a great holiday too!

Party in Atlanta - pumpkin theme...finally he has gotten over his pumpkin obsession...now onto Christmas trees!

He has actually been 2 since the 8th - I just have not been good with keeping up with the blog here lately! Will partied the whole month of October! We didn't do a big party at our house this year - we'll make everyone travel next year! So Will ended up having a party in Atlanta with my family and one in Nashville with Michael's family. I am only posting a couple of pictures...I am too tired to go through them all - isn't that terrible!

Will went for his 2 year check up the other day. He is 34lbs (95%) and 35"(75% I think)...He only had to get one shot thank goodness and he really likes his new doctor!

He is so much fun these days and I feel like he is getting easier (knock on wood...I hear 3 is the toughie). He says funny stuff all the time such as....the other day I was picking him up from MDO and there was a little boy screaming and crying because he got his fingers smashed in the door. Will was standing there with his pacy and bear (he had just gotten up from his nap) just staring at the kid. When he saw me he took his pacy out and said "He scweamin, dat ugwee. He scweamin wike a whittle gwirl..."I tried not to laugh and told him the little boy was hurt. We sometimes say when he screams, " You sound like a little girl....screaming is ugly."

Also Michael fixed a couple of places on the wall around the stairs where the movers bumped it with furniture. Anyway, he found some touch up paint in the attic and proceeded to paint all the spots on the wall and it was the wrong color :) That of course drives me crazy and I probably drove Michael saying "that's the wrong color...." So now every time Will passes that place on the stairs he says, "dat's the wong collwa..." Thanks for the reminder son...

We are looking forward to the holidays! I am ready to get the Christmas decorations out...so much to do! Hopefully I will be better about the blog!

We took Will to a cute little downtown trick or treating tonight. There is a cute old town near us that puts on this festival every year and a friend of mine suggested we go! I am so glad she did - it was really fun! of course Will is still a bit young to really get into trick or treating, but he did say trick or treat for candy a few times! He was a UT football player for Halloween (daddy's choice). He has a great uniform with a helmet and shoulder pads that of course he wouldn't wear. I also tried to do some black tape under his eyes, but he kept saying "take it off..." so I did. At least he would wear the pants and jersey. I thought he looked cute anyway! Happy Halloween everyone!

I am a little behind (once again) with blogging. We went to Atlanta last week for a few days to have a little family birthday party for Will. Everyone has a lot going on in October so we decided to do a party in Atlanta and will have one in Nashville. Anyway, family came over to my parents house and we spent the whole day going to the pumpkin patch, hanging out, and having a birthday party! We had so much fun! I left my camera at home so mom took the pictures with her camera. Will is obsessed with pumpkins! I let him pick one out at the grocery store the other day and he thinks it is the greatest thing ever! He really loves getting out the baby pumpkins (as Will calls them)and gourds (or gwuards as Will says) on the dining room table, lining them up, and counting them.

So what have we been up to? Weekend before last my parents came up for the weekend to watch Will while Michael and I went to the UT/FL game. Mom took pictures, but I don't have any! They had lots of fun as usual!

Will is turning into a 2 year old for sure! He is soooooo busy and funny! Talking a ton and says new things all the time that crack us up! He is so much fun and I just love that little guy to death! This past weekend we had to go a college football game that Michael had to cover. His practice splits up the games and he agreed to the one that was 4 hours away! So we had a little road trip. We didn't leave until about 8pm and got to the hotel around 12am! Will didn't fall asleep in the car at all! I couldn't believe it! He was good though, just watching his dvd's.

The other day I decided I needed to clean my necklace. The chains I use are sterling silver and as you know silver over time will tarnish as it is exposed to the air, salt, chemicals, perfume, lotion, your skin etc. The initial charms are fine silver (99% pure silver) and tarnish (never seen this happen personally) at a slower rate than sterling silver. Like I said chain I use on my necklaces are sterling silver, but also have an anti tarish treatment on them to stop tarnishing and provide "shelter" from air, elements, etc that cause tarnishing. There is never a 100% guarantee on anti-tarnish, some may never tarnish and some may, but the anti tarnish treated product help prolong the life of sterling silver...So I said all that to give you the best cleaner for your silver if it begins to tarnish or lose that new luster!

I DO NOT recommend any liquid jewelry cleaners, such as Tarn-x or any of the jewelry cleaners you drop your jewelry in as it can give it a yellowing look to it. It is almost like those cleaners are too harsh. You should never soak any jewelry in Tarn-x!!!!

You SHOULD USE a silver cream polish, such as Wright's Silver Cream Polish. It works great and brings back the new shine to your silver!

It was so hard to get pictures without us squinting in every picture! We have to plan the time better next time!

We had so much fun at the beach this year. We went with the Carmans and the Hollands and had a blast! This was the 5th year that we have been going to Jon's parents house in Destin. This year was much more enjoyable as the kids were older this year and enjoyed the sand and water. However, dinner out was still not fun! Haha! We would leave the restaurant each night and one of us would say, "Yea, that really wasn't fun or relaxing at all..." We all shoveled our food in and got out of there - it was funny! Each night the kids rotated on who was going to have the meltdown... One night we did get a sitter from Nanny Can - it is a nanny service there. I know what you are thinking - "How can you leave your children with a stranger!!!" Well the lady that owns it has a government contract to service the military etc. down there and she said you wouldn't believe the red tape you have to go through with background checks, etc. to get that contract. They sent a nice mother of two for the night and we put the kids down before we left and no one woke up! It was great...I highly recommend it! Oh yeah, the prices are VERY reasonable as well! Worth every cent:)

Not much going on here. Will started Mother's Day Out on Tuesday and he LOVES it! When we got there he was going from room to room trying to get in one of them to PLAY! I had to get him a nap mat for nap time. I laughed when they told me that because I thought there is NO WAY he will lay down on a mat (he is still in his crib) and actually fall asleep...good luck with that is what I was thinking. Well sure enough he slept for over an hour on the floor on a nap mat. CRAZY! He will also be going on Thursdays so we will see how tomorrow goes. I loved having some time to myself and doing some of those things that are just easier without a kid in tow!

Hmmm, what else? We are about to go to the beach so I am excited about that for sure! I think Will will really love it this year.

I have been hearing all of these good things about the book The Shack. Pretty much everything I heard has been good and I had no idea what is was about so I thought I would go buy it and take it to the beach. So Tuesday I went to Lifeway and picked up that book and another one on toddlers. I was checking out and the guy checking me out handed me a mandatory disclaimer about the book The Shack and asked - "who suggested you read this book?" I told him what I said above and asked him why. Long story short he said it was VERY controversial and didn't think their store should sell anything that has to have a disclaimer(which basically said to read with discernment and the teachings in this book were not scriptural etc., but that it is christian fiction) . So when I got home I looked up some things on the internet about the book and found a review and after reading the review I wonder if this is a book I should even read...I probably (obviously) would benefit more by just reading the Bible. Have you read it? Thoughts? I don't know if it concerned the guy at the bookstore because he didn't know if I was a new christian or wasn't one and didn't want me to read that book because of it's content. Or would someone who knows what they believe really be affected or have their mind changed by what this author is saying? Anyway, just curious if any of you have read it and what you think. I feel like this was the first normal weekend we have had in a while! The move, going out of town, Michael being busy with work, etc has kept us from having some family fun!!! So this weekend we made up for it with a visit to the park and a day at the lake. We went out Saturday late in the day with one of our friends on his ski boat and Will loved it and was so good. Then Sunday after church we rented a pontoon boat and Will was okay. His nap was obviously cut short, etc. so he was a bit cranky, but got a little better... He really LOVED throwing his pacy, sippy cup, and cars (that sink) out of the boat. He also tried to throw bear-bear in for a swim, but I was able to snag it before he did. I think part of the problem was his life jacket. It fits when he is standing but when he sits down it rides up around his neck, so it couldn't have been comfortable - but there was no way I was going to take it off of him! It was a beautiful day and the water was gorgeous - crystal clear (which is how I like my lake water!). Hope you all had a great weekend too!

So I took Will to the bookstore today to get some new books. We have done this before and found great books that he loves, but today I got so overwhelmed and didn't buy anything. There are soooo many books and I just couldn't choose! I want more "story" books for him. Not too long and not too short...know what I mean??? We have tons of board books, Eric Carle, Sandra Boyton, etc. So I need suggestions! What do you like to read to your little ones???

The new season of Project Runway started tonight...hope you caught it! Love this show!

If you have hard wood floors - you have to have one of these! It is the greatest thing ever! It vacuums and dusts the floor. Wayyyyy faster than sweeping! Just thought I would share.

I can now do birthdates on the Love My Baby necklaces. Only on the 1/2" circles... Not the best picture, but it does look really cute in person!

Getting settled...

We have spent the week getting settled in. Michael is already working a lot so it has been Will and I hanging out. Luckily one of my friends from Jackson is here and we have been getting together. We have kids the same age so it has been great to have some company! :) Of course I haven't taken any pictures, ugh.

As I said in an earlier post my mom and dad came up to help us unpack. My mom actually flew to Ohio to make the trip with us and watch Will during closing (which was a blessing because there were a few kinks to work out with the house!). So mom spent almost two weeks helping us out!!! Thank you mom and dad!!!!!! Seriously we would still be in boxes no doubt! Will had a great time with his Grandi and Grandad - LOTS of attention as usual. I know he hates it when they leave - he doesn't quite get away with everything he does with his grandparents..:)

Will has been a little clingy so I don't get much done around the house when he isn't napping! It is strange for him because he has always been pretty independent and likes to play with his cars etc. Maybe it is the new surroundings... He is saying a lot now and repeats everything you say. It is pretty cute.

Well we are moving again...the movers loaded everything yesterday and it is on it's way to our new house. It has been a long few days. We were told two days before they were coming to pack and load that we would receive our things between June 30th and July 12th!!!! We freaked out! Anyway, long story short we should be getting it by the 2nd, but we'll see how that pans out! Ugh!!!!! Oh well, thank goodness my mom has been here helping with Will. The movers were there from around 11:30 to 7:00! So mom spent several hours at the mall with Will (she didn't really know her way around so the options were few!). He was so good for her thank goodness and crashed at the end of the day. Anyway, we are staying at our friends house (who are out of town) until we close on Monday - or until our things get here!

This past weekend my good friend Lori and her 9 month old Avery from Jackson flew up to see Will and I. Michael spent the weekend with her husband and another friend from residency in Arkansas. They played golf and spent time out on the lake. Lori and I were discussing what a long weekend it would be home alone with the kids so she decided to fly on up and hang out! We had so much fun. I miss her a ton!!!! Avery is so precious and one of the sweetest, most content, happy babies I have ever met. She didn't cry or fuss the entire weekend. Will was really sweet to her too. He shared his toys and tried to share his sippy cup with her :) We did a little shopping and got our babysitter Saturday night so that we could go to dinner. It was fun! Thanks Lori for making the trip! Can't wait to see you again...:) Here are a few pictures from the weekend. We meant to get a picture of all four of us, but we forgot :(

is what Will says when he eats (well just about anything) popsicles. Of course today wasn't what I would call a popsicle day - it was around 71 degrees all day (cold front I guess)!

We have been kind of boring lately. Just counting down the days until moving day! We can't wait! Things with the house are coming along and we are so ready to be settled in one place!!!! Of course we lived in Jackson for 5 years, but I guess we never felt settled because we knew we would be moving eventually. Then of course being in Ohio for 1 year...I feel like we just moved here! Speaking of Ohio - here are a few reasons why I am glad to be moving back down south:

1 - I will be able to talk to a stranger, order a meal, or pretty much converse with anyone without them saying, " You aren't from around here are you?" or "I am detecting an accent..."

2 - I will not be the only person in the state that dresses their child in smocked jon-jons and I will be able to take Will out in a smocked jon-jon without someone saying, "How old is she?" or "She is so cute." I know that maybe it's a little froo-froo, but they are only little for a short time...

3 - Every restaurant will serve sweet tea.

4 - I won't have to deal with another FREEZING and DEPRESSING winter.

5 - This one is for Michael it about drove him crazy during football season - didn't bother me so much....The Ohio State Buckeyes! Go Vols!

In all seriousness there are lots of things I will miss about Ohio. I will probably miss more things here than not - it really is a great place. So I hope I didn't offend any northerners or midwesterners (I don't know?).

The other night in Target Michael, Will and I were getting a few things. Michael had Will in the cart and I went to the aisle across from the aisle (across the walkway aisle you know what I mean). Anyway, these annoying women probably my age or a little older walked over and were looking at the water toys along with me. Will squealed out a couple of times - nothing wild and crazy (and I am not one of those moms who think their child can do no wrong - seriously it wasn't bad or even that loud). So at this point the three women are at the end of the aisle closest to Michael and Will and one turns around and puts her back to Michael and Will and says, "Don't you hate it when people bring their kids out past their bedtimes (it was 8 and will goes to bed around 8:30, it wasn't late) and expect them to be good in the cart, blah, blah, blah." Immediately my blood started boiling (and those of you who know me know I hate confrontation and am rather passive unless something makes me really mad! Remember that time I went off on that old roomate DeeDee? Hahaha!). I couldn't let her get away with talking about my baby like that! So I walked up between all three of them and got in the girl's face and said, "Actually his bedtime is 8:30, thanks." She turned every shade of red and said "Oh I didn't mean him, I was talking about like kids at Walmart out really late..." (What does Walmart have to do with it? ANYWAY...). It felt kind of good. I guess it was just maternal instinct to defend your child you know. I don't know, it just made me mad. Just thought I would share. :)

We made a quick trip to Nashville this past weekend. Michael's brother, Berry, had surgery so we wanted to go down and see him! He is doing great! We love you Berry.

While we were there we celebrated Michael's 18th Birthday! Haha... I love you ;) We had fun hanging out with Mimi, Uncle Berry, Aunt Ann, and Uncle Kyle. DeeDee, Abby, and Beau were in town so that was a treat being able to see them. Will adores Abby and Abby adores Will. They are really cute together. Will and Beau got along great too. As long as they each had their own cars to play with...:) Once again I didn't take enough pictures, but here are a few.

I also had to post this picture of Will in the pool! He loves the water!!!! Check out that toothy grin... Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Too funny...

You can still enter the drawing the previous post (since I am not drawing until Sunday night) - but I had to go ahead and put this on the blog so I don't forget! Whenever I get around to doing the blurb blog book I want this in there. Anyway....

Last night it was storming and of course the thunder woke Will up so we put him in bed with us. He laid down between us and was quiet (I assumed he had fallen asleep). Then a big bolt of lightening flashed and we hear Will say, "Coooool!" Of course Michael and I cracked up! He has been saying cool for a while, but he would usually say it about a car or a pair of his shoes because I will always say "cool car" or "cool shoes." So Michael and I weren't sure if he could use it in the right context...obviously he can! Also when it would thunder he would kind of whimper and I would say, "it's okay..." so from then on everytime it thundered he would say "okaaayee." It was really cute. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep last night. I had to eventually put him back in his bed after the storm passed!

Will had his 18 month check-up the other day and is still at the top of the charts! He weighed in at 30 lbs 11 oz and 34" tall. My back is starting to be affected by the boys weight! :) He is like a sack of potatoes...

I posted some pictures from our week in Nashville and Atlanta. We had such a good time hanging out with family and friends! We miss everyone so much!!!!

Mimi and Mo

This weekend Michael's mom (MiMi) and Aunt Ramona (Mo) came for a visit! We had so much fun hanging out and catching up. We haven't seen Ramona since Thanksgiving (and Mimi since Christmas)...we used to see her more often when Michael and I were dating. We would always meet halfway at Ramona's in Knoxville and stay with her for the weekend - so since we have been married we have seen a lot less of her!!! It was great spending time with you both!! Will of course loved all of the extra attention and kisses! Thank you for coming to see us!!! :)

Will loves the alphabet. We don't really know what started it all, but he walks around the house saying the letters. He gets a few in the right order (his favorite seems to be the C, D, E, F, G combination). Anyway, because of his love of letters his favorite show these days is Wheel of Fortune. When it comes on he walks up to the tv and starts calling out letters. It is so funny and we have yet to catch it on tape when he is really spouting off the letters. He is really growing and doing so many new things everyday...it is so much fun! Oooo, gotta go the Bachelor is coming on...yes, I watch it.

...is all Will is saying these days! He is loving the warm weather as much as I am!!! We are definitely out of our winter funk! Everyday he walks up to the back door and says "outside!" We have played outside all day for the past few days and it has been great! Of course a cold front is coming in at the end of the week, but I think we have had enough sunshine to tide us over for a few days anyway...Hope you all are enjoying the nice weather as well! Not feeling so hot...

Will went to see the Easter Bunny yesterday. He was a huge fan! He was patting the Easter Bunny and pulling on his fur - he broke into a big ol' smile for the camera, so his "official" Easter Bunny pic is pretty cute. While at the mall I went to Strausburg to buy him some knee socks for his easter outfit (which is shorts and it is 32 outside A-N-Y-W-A-Y-S so over this northern weather...) and some new little white dress shoes. Which ended up being too narrow...after I bought them. Anyone know if Strausburg makes those shoes in wide? So his little outfit was ready to go this morning however it didn't make it on his body because he woke up at 5:30 with a 103 fever. We're thinking another ear infection...ugh. So we spent the day around the house. Pretty boring.

Will did love his easter basket. He had two this year, one from Grandi and Grandad and of course the one from us. His favorite thing in the basket was the easter Hotwheels. He has played with them ALL day.

In other news, Friday night we ordered pizza and were going to watch a movie. I had some jewelry to make so I needed some wax paper. Michael needed Tylenol so he was going to run to the store. He begins looking for his wallet, no where to be found. Last place he had it was at the gas station on his way home so he decides to check there. I look at our checking account and credit cards online. He had my credit card in his wallet and sure enough someone had managed to spend $1100 on my credit card in about 15 minutes - $743 at Walmart and $350 at Best Buy (I am guessing an Xbox 360 and some games...). I am REALLY mad they didn't ask for ID ESPECIALLY at Walmart! Who have you ever seen spend that much at Walmart? Electronics or gift cards I guess. So we canceled the cards etc. Anyway, we finally came to the conclusion that it must have fallen out of his pocket when he was getting in his truck at the gas station. What a hassle, huh. It must have been a girl because the only car they used was the one with my name, not Michael's.

DeeDee and Beau came to see us over the weekend. We hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving so we had a good time hanging out and catching up! Will and Beau were pretty funny together. Beau wanted to hug Will (so sweet), but Will didn't really get it and he would cry. So I am sure Beau was like, "what's wrong with this kid?" Anyway, they are going to have lots of fun together when they get older...Dee Dee and I will have our hands full for sure!

Dee Dee and I went shopping Saturday for a few hours while the babysitter had the boys. That was a nice little getaway for us! Then Sunday afternoon we went to the zoo. Will and Beau had a big time! They both fell sound asleep in the car - we didn't even get out of the parking lot before Beau was out!

We got our bags! Yea! I really don't feel that I took enough pictures on our trip! Michael really is the better camera man - I just...forget. We did get a few good ones though. I just picked out a few, well 15 actually. :) We had SO much fun! Not only was being in San Francisco fun, but seeing all of our old friends from residency was SO great! Michael and I miss them so much! My good friend Lori and I used to hang out pretty much everyday so I had (and still do) have Lori withdrawls :) We did lots of shopping, site seeing, eating, walking, and enjoying our friends! Oh yeah, it was also really nice to sleep in!!!! In the meantime Will had a blast with his grandi and grandad - he has come home with a lot of new "tricks."

Top of Lombard Street (the really crooked street)...I didn't get to see the cool part. There is just too much to see and do in San Fran.

I like "pretty" food, but this food had wayyyyy too much thought put into it, you know what I mean. My fish still had the scales - they said it makes it crispy, ugh.

Well we are back - had a WONDERFUL time (pictures coming soon!)! However our luggage is lost in luggage land... Needless to say I was and am VERY unhappy about this. You should have seen the baggage claim - hundreds of bags from all of the cancelled flights. We still don't know how our flights can be on time, not delayed, etc but our luggage isn't here. We figure they just shove any luggage that needs to go our way into the plane and we will get ours when we get it. Arrrrrgggggghhhh. Of course I way overpacked as usual so now all of my decent clothes along with what was purchased in San Fran, makeup, toiletries, etc. is SOMEWHERE. We also came home to record snow 20+ inches. So that was fun trying to get in the house. Snow over the knees, etc. Anyway, I know I am complaining, but the trip was GREAT! As soon as I have time I will get all the pics together for the blog!!!

A Visit From Grandi and More Snow...

My mom came to visit this week and of course I didn't take near enough pictures! That always seems to happen!!! Oh well we did get some cute ones in the snow. Yes more snow...pretty, but overrated. I have officially decided I am a warm weather girl (only a few more months before we move! Yea!). I guess the cold isn't that bad, but the snow, the dampness, the gray sky (except for these pics), the slush, the ice to slip on and bust your booty...shall I go on? I won't because I think you get the picture I am painting here!

We had fun with my mom. The weather was really bad so we didn't get out as much as we would have liked, but we still had a good time. Will was spoiled rotten and so were Michael and I! I didn't have to give one bath, read one bedtime story, sing one song, fix one meal - not that I don't enjoy these things, I love being a mom - but it sure was nice to have a little break! Of course Will loved the extra person paying him SOOOOOOO much attention! He sure loves his Grandi, he will miss her this week. Thanks for coming to see us Grandi! We missed you Grandad, but will see you soon!!!!

15 Month Stats...

Will went for his 15 month checkup today. I am glad it was already scheduled since he woke up at 3 am with a fever of 105!!!! Double ear infection and neon green snot...fun. Poor thing, I guess we know why he has been waking up in the night like he has. I feel bad now for letting him "cry it out." You know he never pulled on his ear or did any of those things you think a child would do if they had an earache. So anyway, back to the stats. He weighed in at 29 lbs. 2 oz. and 32" tall! By the way, he really does not like going to the doctor. He is such an easy going kid, rarely meets a stranger, but the minute we walked in the examining room he started crying - and didn't stop...

How do you like my homemade cupcakes??? Just kidding. Everytime I go to Whole Foods I stroll by the bakery and look at these little creations....Just waiting for an occasion to buy them. Do you know how hard it is to let them sit on the counter until Michael gets home???? Actually right after I took this pic - I dropped the bird one and destroyed their beaks and eyes....guess I have to eat that one! I'll let you know how they taste!

Another tid-bit, I am sitting here listening to Will grit his teeth. He has been doing it a lot today. When I tell him to stop he laughs - like it's a game. Have any of your children done this? What did you do????

More snow as you can see. Just a couple of inches, but enough to keep us in for the day. Which I have decided makes for a very long day... We have serious cabin fever around here. I am DYING to take Will to a park and let him run around outside! He loves being outside, but it is just TOO COLD, ugh.

Growing so fast...

I found my shadow!

I took these pictures today and when I looked at them I wasn't looking at a baby anymore!!!! Will is growing so fast and doing something new everyday. He is so much fun. Trying at times, but nobody said being a parent is easy. Right now his favorite things to do are climbing the stairs, throwing things down the stairs (over the gate), throwing everything (overhand), playing with his trucks, messing with the blinds, running around and going where HE wants to go, reading books, getting in the refrigerator, and did I mention throwing things? He did have me in tears last night. It was storming and about 11:00. Michael and I were going to bed and Will wakes up. I go in there lay him back down, he pops back up...so okay maybe the lightening is scaring him. So I took him in our room to lay down until he fell back asleep. Didn't happen. Put him back in his bed he screams, throws bear-bear and his pacy out of the crib, go give it all back, lay him down. He doesn't want to lay down screams, try to rock him, didn't want to be rocked, wanted down. We go through the whole cycle again. Daddy comes in reads a few books, lays him down, he screams and pops back up....do you see where this is heading??? Well he did this one other time last week. He woke up around 12:45 and didn't fall back asleep (neither did we) until around 3:30...I attributed it to teething, a few sips of daddy's coke at dinner, and maybe getting sick. Didn't happen again, until last night. So I decided he just had to cry it out. Then I worried because I couldn't hear him, blah blah blah. Anyway, I was so frustrated and was really losing my patience and started crying (we have been so spoiled because he has always been a great sleeper). I don't think I have cried from that kind of frustration since he was a newborn. Michael comes in sees me crying and saves the day. Somehow Will decides he wanted daddy to rock him and he fell asleep around 1:30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So my theory is....he woke up and since I took him in our room and we talked to him etc. he got more awake and felt like he had just had a nice 4 hour nap. So he was ready to go!!!! Anyway, we are keeping our fingers crossed for tonight - hopefully it won't happen again,this week anyway. Have any of you experienced this and what did you do????????????
