Christmas In Atlanta

It has been a while since I have last posted! We have been traveling like crazy taking Will to see all our family and friends. It all started on December 15th, Michael had to work so my dad flew down to ride with me to Atlanta (thanks Dad). That would have been a tough trip to do by myself. So I spent a week in Atlanta with my family, then Michael flew to Atlanta and we drove to see Michael's family in Nashville. Here are a few pictures of the VERY proud grandparents with their favorite (only!) grandson! We had so much fun! Will loves his Grandi and Grandad!

Sweet Baby

I haven't posted in forever!!! I have been a little busy :) Being a mother thus far is wonderful and I expect it only to get better. It is exhausting and demanding, but so great at the same time! Will is so sweet! He loves to eat and is actually sleeping pretty well. For the most part he only wakes up at night to eat! I love this picture of him, it is a little blurry, but I love it!

Will is Here!!!

William Kelly Wells has arrived! He was born November 8, 2006 at 3:10 pm. He weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and was 20 and 3/4 inches! He is healthly and SO SWEET! We are in love. Here are a few pictures, I will post more later. Also, thank you all so much for all of the prayers that got us through 10 weeks of bedrest and a healthy arrival of our baby boy.

The latest, latest...

Tomorrow will be my last day as a pregnant person! I went to the doctor today. We had the ultrasound and Will's estimated weight was 7 lbs 10 oz - so not big at all! My blood pressure was a little high, nothing dangerous, but my doctor decided to go ahead and induce this Wednesday! So hopefully my next post will include pictures of our new addition...:)

Let the countdown begin...

So I tried to change the latest picture up a little bit. Every picture I have posted lately is of me, growing! Boring - so tonight (I turned 38 weeks today!) I had Michael set up the tripod so he could be in the picture too. I wish I had some fun Halloween pictures to post, but this Halloween was pretty uneventful. So anyway, here we are at 38 weeks and I do have some new info from the doctor! I have dilated (sorry if that is too much information, I feel kind of weird sometimes talking about my cervix! :), I am only at 1 cm, so my doctor decided to do the ultrasound on Monday to check his size. She still thinks he is big, so she is planning on inducing or a c-section (if needed) on November 13! Three days before his due date. Soooooo, if she still feels the same way about things on Monday - the countdown can officially begin!

The Latest

Well I went to the doctor yesterday and here is the latest...
I have not dilated at all. I will go back to the doctor on Wednesday and she will check me again (I will be 38 weeks), if I have not dilated we will wait a few more days and then she will do the ultrasound. If I have dilated she will do one that day. She wants to get the most accurate measurement of his size possible. So it is just a waiting game. It has been so great being able to get out and about and not worry about doing too much! I will keep you all posted...

Lookin' Large...

I haven't posted in quite a while so I thought I better do it while I can before the baby gets here! Everyone is telling me to enjoy these last couple of weeks because our world is about to be rocked!!!! I will be 37 weeks on Thursday! Which means he is term and I will no longer be on official bedrest!!! I have a doctor appointment tomorrow and she expects that I will have dilated some, so we will see! Either way, it is hard to believe that we will have our baby here in two weeks! WOW!

Dee and Beau

We have had so much fun since last Wednesday with my sister in law and nephew! Dee Dee helped out so much, doing laundry, making yummy desserts, and helping figure out what else I need before Will gets here. It was so great having her here! I miss her a lot! Beau is such a sweet and good baby! Michael and I loved being able to spend time with him! WHile they were here Dee Dee got Beau's Halloween costume. He is going to be a chicken, look at how cute he is in it! Thanks Dee Dee and Beau for coming to visit!

Baby Gear

We are busy getting ready for baby! Michael put Will's car seat and stroller together this week! My nephew Beau has been using his car seat to ride around in while my sister in law was in town keeping me company! He seems to be quite comfy in the car seat, so Will should too! Now Michael has to work on putting the swing and bouncy seat together. I know I will want those ready to go when Will gets here. I went to the doctor Thursday. I am 35 weeks! Everything looked good, I am starting to efface a little bit, but no dilation. My doctor said she would take me off bedrest at 36 or 37 weeks at my last few visits, so I asked her Thursday if I would be off bedrest at 36 weeks...Well she said, "Let's wait until 37." I knew it ugh!!!! Just kidding, I love my doctor, she has taken very good care of me through all of this!

Baby Update

Well as you can see I am getting larger by the day and Michael is getting skinnier! Michael even said I have a slight waddle! I didn't want to be a waddler, but I guess that is what big pregnant women do! I am now 34 weeks yea!!!! So that means 2 more weeks of bedrest! I went to the doctor yesterday and there has been no change, so that is good. All along my doctor thought I was going to have a big baby, so I asked her at my appointment if she thought he was going to be big still. She said yes! They will do another ultrasound at 37 or 38 weeks to see how big he really is - if he seems to be a biggon' she may do a c-section. We will see what happens, of course with the preterm labor I could still have him early and him not be that big! Time will tell.

Go Vols!

Today we watched Tennessee beat Memphis! I wore my Big Orange t-shirt Michael got me - I think he should have maybe gone up a size! I am definitely filling it out! 34 weeks on Thursday - counting down the weeks!!! My sister in law is coming week after next! I am so excited to have more company, she is bringing my nephew Beau! I can't wait to see them! Today we got Will's stroller and car seat. We decided to get a different car seat and stroller from the one we registered for. As we were looking we tested out the different car seats. We lifted the first one out of the base (to see how heavy it was) and looked like idiots trying to put it back in the base. It only took about 5 minutes to figure out we were putting it back in backwards! I am glad we bought it (or my parents bought it actually! Thanks Mom and Dad!) in advance, we obviously need some practice with all the baby things! Then we went to Best Buy (I know I am on bedrest) and Michael pushed me around in a wheelchair:) I was just so happy to be out of the house!

Puppies for Adoption!

AWWWW! Isn't she cute! Michael came home the other day from a bike ride and brought this little lab puppy home! A lady in our neighborhood works for a animal rescue league and had about 10 chocolate lab puppies for adoption! She looks just like Haley as a puppy. Well, we didn't keep her. I thought we will have our plate full with a new baby soon - the last thing we need is two! She loved playing with Haley and she didn't want to leave! Anyone need or want a chocolate lab puppy....

33 Weeks

I do not have any recent pictures to post, but I thought I needed to blog anyway! Pictures are more fun though - I love it when I read other people's blogs and they have new pictures posted! Anyway, I am 33 weeks tomorrow!! That makes me very happy since I will be able to come off of bedrest at 36 or 37 weeks! Hopefully 36! So three weeks to go...light at the end of the tunnel. Will is getting bigger which means I am too! My stomach is so tight I feel like I might pop at any moment! We are so excited that he will be here soon. However, now I am getting a little nervous about the labor and delivery! I really need to stop watching a A Baby Story I guess. I don't understand why the women on that show do not opt for the epidural, not that having one naturally is a bad thing - more power to those women. I cry everyday when the baby is born and the mom and dad see the baby! It is so sweet - I am sure I will cry my eyes out when it is my own. Well that is an update on us, hopefully I will have more pictures to post soon!

Haley

My mom has been getting on to me for not posting a picture of our chocolate lab Haley (our first child), so I have decided to do so today. The reason I haven't is because I have been posting from our laptop instead of the desktop computer (because of bedrest) and I don't have as many pictures of Haley on the laptop. Can you tell I feel guilty? Here are a few from last Christmas. She is the greatest dog ever! She is so good inside and good with kids - I have a feeling that Will and Haley will be big buddies!

Shower in Atlanta

Charlotte, Jodi, Mom, Mandy, and Sharon

I had to post the pictures of the wonderful ladies that hosted the baby shower I could not attend! My mom stood in to represent me! It was so nice of them to still have the shower, they went to a lot of trouble they didn't have to. Thanks you Charlotte, Sharon, Jodi, Mandy and Melanie, I love you guys!

Surprising Me with the Chair...

Mom and her friends were so excited about surprising me with the chair. So they made me cover my eyes when I came in after they set up the chair and new rug. They were so funny - I felt like a little kid Christmas morning, you know when you have to wait at the top of the stairs until everything is just right, then you get to come down and they get a picture of your face when you see all the things Santa brought! Oops, I just posted the pictures and they are in reverse order, but you get the idea...:)

Beth Saves the Day!

I was not able to travel to the funeral for my father-in-law because of bedrest. It was so hard seeing Michael leave by himself, but we knew it was best. So that I would not be home alone, my cousin Beth came from Atlanta to stay with me! We never get to get together so now was a perfect time - even though I may not be much fun right now we found many ways to pass the time! It was so NICE of her to come down and stay with me. She is taking care of me, she took me to the doctor, she fixes my meals, etc. However I had to draw the line when we ran a quick errand after my doctor's appointment, she tried to make me ride in a wheel chair at Hobby Lobby. I refused and was fine, but she warned me next outing I have to ride in the wheelchair. We went to Hobby Lobby to get fabric and ribbon to make burp cloths. She brought her sewing machine and we made the cutest little burp cloths. We made some for Will and for her sister-in-law and my friend Ryan, who is having a girl so we got to have fun with pink. I posted a picture of a few of the ones we have made so far. We still have to make our camoflauge burp cloths! We also washed all of Will's stuff, clothes, towels, washcloths, blankets, sheets, everything! Now it all smells like a sweet baby and are all organized in his drawers! We were so productive - thanks to Beth! I have such a great cousin! Thanks Bethy!

Billy D

I just wanted to thank everyone for keeping us in your prayers. If you didn't know, Michael's dad (Billy D) passed away on September 11th. He has been fighting cancer for the past year. We love him so much and are going to miss more than we know.
