Finally...

We are moved in! I really don't like moving. Did I already say that? We like our place and have already got things on the walls! The town seems nice and Michael doesn't start work for two weeks, which is nice! We are actually leaving town for an interview in a couple of days. More time on the road with a baby! Ahhhhhhhhh! Will is at the age now where he really doesn't like to go for long rides! I am thinking of getting him a portable DVD player and let him watch Baby Einstein videos. Any thoughts about that? He is only 8 months, seems a little early for one, but I don't know... Here is a picture of Will eating in the back of my car at the gas station. You do what you have to do on the road! What you don't see in the picture is what happened next...Will kicked the jar of carrots all over my pants. That felt good for the next couple of hours! I also posted a picture of the Penske...I can't believe Michael drove this thing! You can't see in the picture, but there is a car carrier attached to it with Michael's Explorer on top of it. He was truly in a rig the length of a semi. I was a bit nervous the whole trip.

Portable DVD players are worth their weight in GOLD!! I promise you will not be sorry for making the investment. I am not sure how we ever lived without them as children!!!

Don't laugh, but Scott and I have considered getting one too. We are going to Gatlinberg for Christmas and are considering getting it for the same reason. However, baby boy will only be 2 months old then!! Is your cell phone the same?

I don't have kids yet, but I have done my fair share of babysitting and in my opinion, get the portable dvd player! Especially since you'll be playing Baby Einstein videos for him, those are so stimulating and will definitely keep him distracted for long rides! Good luck with the move!

We just turned the girls forward in their carseats, and now they watch Baby Einstein to and from school every day. I think it's a great thing. :)

"You do what you have to.." I like that quote because we do some things that other parents think are nuts...but..."you do what you have to..." :)

DVD player is a must for the car!!!!! I am proud of you for waiting 8 months. Brooks watched his first baby einstein around 2 to 3 months. He loved it. I even taped his first viewing bc he stopped crying and was mesmorized for 25 minutes. I would not let him watch it if it is getting close to a nap time bc it can be a bit overstimulating for sleep right after. Baby Noah and Baby McDonald are our two favorites.

I vote yes for the DVD player. We love it. We didn't get one for Will until he was 16 months old, but I wish we would have gotten it earlier. It has been worth every penny!! I don't know how our parents did it without one. I hope you are getting somewhat settled. I just saw your jewelry blog for the first time today. I don't know where I've been?! I would love to order a pair of earrings once you get settled. They are so cute! Make as many as you can now b/c as soon as Will gets really mobile, you won't have as much time!
