Christmas...

First of all, does it drive anyone else crazy that you can't arrange the order of your pictures on blogger? All of these are out of order, oh well. We had a great Christmas this year with my family in Atlanta. It was so much fun watching Will open and play with all of his new toys. I don't know where we will put everything when we get home! I guess I will be cleaning out some toys, huh.

Will really got into opening his presents!
We spent Christmas Eve at my cousin's house. We had a DELICIOUS dinner, beef tenderloin, yum! Uncle Kyle kept Will occupied with the rubber blocks.
Here we are riding the Pink Pig at Lennox. If you are from Atlanta you know this tradition. When I was little it was a ride that went around the christmas tree on the top of the old Rich's Department store downtown. The old one was better....
Getting ready to go ride the Pink Pig with Grandad and Grandi.
On our way to Atlanta we stopped in Nashville and stayed with Mimi. Here is Will and Mimi in her new kitchen.

Mary Paul loved her new book! Isn't she a cutie!
Will is checking out his new Rock and Ride Pony from Uncle Kyle - he really loves it!
Opening presents with mommy.
Oh yes, that is a new bear - bear, thank you eBay....

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

Uh...we're not in Jackson anymore...

Lots of snow....
Will couldn't wait to go outside....
I love the snow...
Mommy and Will in the snow....
His hands were like icicles when he came inside...oh yeah, he cried when he had to come inside.
Sweet boy...
Will and daddy...

So we are in the middle of a nice little winter storm. Michael, Will and I went out this morning around 10. I had to go the bead shop and Michael had a gift he needed to get at a sports store. So I drop him off there and head to the bead shop. I go back to meet him, we look around in the store, then go to check out and it is as white as it can be outside! You know in the south how when it does snow or flurry a little it melts as soon as it hits the ground? Well not here, it accumulates immediately. Of course I was the only fascinated one in the store. Everyone else is like whatever, it's just snow. Yes, I am one of those people that watch the weather and then goes to the store to buy bread and milk at the store. Will LOVED the snow too. Michael took him outside to the car and he went crazy flapping his arms and squealing. I would say we have a few inches on the ground right now - enough to where you don't see grass sprouting through the snow! We are expecting more tomorrow! I love it (as long as the roads are clear:). Here are a few pictures from the day!

What time is it?

So this morning I hear Will making noise in his room. It was around 6:30. Normally he gets up around 7:15-7:30 everyday. So when he wakes up early he is usually just looking for his pacifier so I go in there lay him back down and give him his pacy. I did that this morning and he went back to sleep. Michael left around 8:00 and Will and I were still asleep. Finally I wake up and felt VERY rested. Hmmm...I usually don't feel like that in the morning (I have got to get in bed earlier), so I thought it was strange. I get up and look at my watch (I don't have a clock in my room, how crazy is that?) and it is 11:20!!!!! That can't be right so I walk downstairs and look at the clock on the microwave...11:20. I get kind of panicked and go in Will's room. He was still sound asleep, so of course I wake him up - check him out to make sure he is okay and he is. What in the world - he has never done that before and I didn't think I was capable of sleeping that late anymore! The only thing we can figure is that he had a busy last week, had a few nights of bad sleep without bear-bear, is getting over a cold, and just got the last round of his flu shot yesterday. Oh yeah, he also took a two hour nap... Anyone else experienced this with your child????

Week in Atlanta...

Nice beard, Santa...

The Birthday Girl!
Sam, Kyle, Ashley, Ryan, and I. It was so great to see you girls!
Will really liked playing under the table with Uncle Kyle!

So Will and I had a great week in Atlanta. We both were spoiled, which is always nice! I once again did not take many pictures! I am going to have to be better about it this Christmas! Here are a few pics from the week. Will saw Santa for the first time and my parent's church. He really liked him. He liked to play with his beard and the ball on his hat. We can get him to say Santa now! He was exhausted after the church Christmas party - he could hardly keep his eyes open! We will take him to see Santa again at Lennox over Christmas and he will get to ride the Pink Pig. That should be fun! My mom and dad of course were in "Will Heaven." They are so crazy about that child! I am so glad he has such wonderful grandparents on BOTH sides! He is one blessed baby!

I met up with Ada for lunch one day. We ate, shopped and talked. My mom and I ate dinner with Charlotte Justice (mom's good friend!) and shopped with her for her birthday. We had so much fun - Will wasn't really into shopping, but he loved it when we were in Shenanigan's Toys. He loved playing with all the toys. Mrs. Justice also gave Will the cutest book for Christmas called, "If You See A Kitten." It has all these different animals and a sound you should make when you see one. Her grandson loved it and decided Will had to have one too. So sweet of her! Friday night we went to a tour of homes with my mom and friends from church. There was only one good house on the whole tour. In years past it has been better. The good mexican food we ate after that made up for it though!!!

Saturday morning we all drove up to Nashville for Mary Paul's 1st Birthday. It was fun catching up with old friends and family. Mary Paul had a big time. She blew out her candle and then just pinched off icing and ate it so nicely. Unlike Will's handfuls! Ha! She got lots of presents and attention which she loved! She was such the entertainer. That night I spent the night with my mother in law. We stayed up a while "talking shop." She was teaching me about how to solder (which would be handy in my jewelry making) and showing me the greatest place to buy jewelry findings. I taught her about how I make my initial charms so she order the supplies and is going to use it with her minitures (she is a guilded miniturist, I think I totally spelled that wrong).

Here is the bad news - we left bear-bear at my mother in law's house. Bear-Bear is Will's stuffed bear that apparently (after last night's experience) he cannot sleep without. I tried giving him other stuffed animals, he wouldn't even touch them. He rubs bear-bear's ears at night to fall asleep and just hugs and loves on that bear. THANK GOODNESS Renee Fed-Exed it yesterday - so we should have it for bedtime tonight!!!! I knew he was attached to that bear, but know we really know how much! So if any of you have the little tan and white bear from Pottery Barn Kids last year that you are not using - I WILL PAY YOU WHATEVER YOU WANT, jewelry, cash, whatever! I obviously need a spare bear-bear. I can't find another one anywhere. I may post a pic of him (mom's idea) to put the word out! Ha!

Okay I will quit rambling now...

SEC Championship

This picture shows how we felt after the game. Michael's face is really heart felt. It took him a little while to get over the loss. Actually I really don't know that he is over it yet...maybe the title will be UT's next year! :)

Michael, Will, and I traveled down to Atlanta this past weekend for the SEC Championship game. My parents kept Will for us for the night so that we could go to the game and spend the night away! We had a blast. We weren't so happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still fun! We got a room at TWELVE hotel in Atlantic Station. It was a crazy room (I guess it was really more of a suite), it had a full kitchen, living area, bedroom, bathroom and had a balcony with the best view of Atlanta. We haven't done anything like that in a while so we of course enjoyed every minute of it! We missed Will, but I don't think he missed us. Mom and dad kept him super busy with a Christmas party at church where he met Santa. They also played in the yard in the leaves, etc. I don't think he wanted us to come back! Anyway, I am staying here this week then driving up to Nashville for Mary Paul's 1st Birthday. More pics to come...
