I have been inspired...

This weekend we decided Will needed a haircut. His mullet was getting a little out of control. It would have been one thing if he had little curls (I wouldn't have cut it yet), but his hair is as straight as mine! It will curl a little when wet, but that is about it! So we tried to take him to a kiddie salon, but it was mass chaos in there and no openings. We ate lunch and saw an empty Sports Clips so we took him in. He wasn't too sure about what was going on, but he was so good. To keep him happy I gave him sips of Chick-fil-A sweet tea and it did the trick (only later did I regret it when he was screaming for it on the way home and I wouldn't give him anymore!). I think he looks pretty cute!

I still don't feel good two days later... Feeling better today and almost back to normal :)

Ugh, we just experienced our first real sickness. He has had colds and such, but never a fever of 103 and a horrible cough with wheezing! Of course, I kind of freaked out. I thought for sure you take your kid to the emergency room when that happens...Michael assured me that you can manage it at home :) So after lots of Motrin, trip to the doctor, a chest x-ray, albuterol breathing treatments, and some steroids we are almost back to normal. I am SO tired too! Michael and I both have been exhausted from it! You worry and stress. Will was grumpy and needy and crazy from the steroids and sleep deprived, etc. We are glad to be on the mend...

It was supposed to be a short outing (since it was SO COLD and a little snowy!) to the bead shop and grocery store. I made it to the bead shop, but while sitting at the light Will and I were rear ended. Some little high school girl (who was insured thank goodness) with two guys... She hit us pretty hard - my back and neck are sore. Will didn't cry or anything, he just continued to watch Elmo like it was any other car ride. I did give him some Motrin tonight just in case. Ugh, now I get to deal with insurance companies, etc, etc. I am thankful though that it wasn't worse! Things like this happen so quickly and without warning! BTW isn't that a hilarious picture of George Michael on his Wham! Careless Whispers album. I thought my brother would find humor in this!

Today is our 6th wedding anniversary! Oh how time flies... I love you SO much Michael!

8 Things About Will....

1. I am a meat eater. I love chicken and bbq. I have recently tried chicken wings and I am a fan.

2. I really think it is funny when my mommy and daddy tell me "NO!" I laugh really hard, for some reason they don't laugh with me.

3. To know a toy is to throw a toy...

4. I love to dance to any music that comes on or if mommy sings to me.

5. I am becoming a really good walker and climber. I can be up the stairs in no time. I get really annoyed when the gate on the stairs is closed.

6. I cry when I hear a cow moo.

7. I am not a morning person (like mommy) until I get my breakfast and milk.

8. Elmo is my hero, except for daddy of course.

What a deal...

The January markdowns have begun:) I escaped today from the continuous stream of football games today (not that I am hating on football, but anyone can get worn out from two days of that!). Anyway, I knew there would be some New Year's Day sales today so I went to the mall to spend some gift cards. Found a few things, but I am most excited about my new lamp. I was looking around Pottery Barn and a while back I had bought some of the iron botanical pillar candle holders so I saw this big iron botanical lamp on sale. $29!!!! Marked down from $150. I couldn't believe it. I asked them if something was wrong with it and he said no I have a few more in the back! Wooohooo. They also had buffet lamps like it for $21! They also had the lamp shades for $8.99. Not bad for a nice lamp,huh. Well I say all that to tell you that I was talking to my mom and told her about my steal, so she went to the website to look at it and they had it on sale for $99!!! So I wonder if they keep things higher on the website to cash in on all of those that do not have a store in town? Shady, shady...get it???

We did watch the Outback Bowl today and were happy about UT's win. Throughout the season Michael would get Buffalo Wild Wings for game day. Everytime he had wings they won. So he had to keep it going today by getting wings. We discovered someone else in the house has a love for Buffalo Wild Wings' asian zing wings...Really I promise I feed my child well. You may wonder after seeing this picture and remembering the video I posted of him crawling for donuts. These wings had some kick - we couldn't believe he was eating them, off the bone mind you..
