Favorite Time of Day...

Michael captured my favorite time of day. We have a little ritual in the morning. I am sure some of you will not approve since it will probably be a hard habit to break one day, but A-N-Y-W-A-Y, I still love it. Every morning before Michael goes in to work, Will wakes up ready to eat so Michael brings him to me in bed. I feed him and then we fall back to sleep for an hour or two. I love it and I know I won't be able to do it for long. Also, any of you have ideas on how to get him to not wake up so much during the night? I no longer do a night feeding, but he still wakes up and I have to put his pacifier back in his mouth. He falls right back to sleep, but sometimes only for 30 minutes to an hour. I know he is a baby and baby's do that, but any thoughts on what else might be causing him to wake up? It is at least 2 times each night, sometimes 3. Ughhh! Should I let him cry it out? I am I hindering him from being able to "self-soothe" by putting his pacifier back in his mouth?

Annaleigh and I did the exact same thing in bed until she was about 7 months (and I quit breastfeeding) I say DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT! Those are some of the sweetest times you will ever have with your little boy. As far as crying in the night....our policy is we let her cry it out for 5-10 minutes and most of the time she will go back to sleep. If she doesn't do it in that time frame we will go ahead and get up...but you have to do what you think is right!

Courtney, just soak up all of those wonderful moments. I laugh and say we never had any child come to kindergarten with a pacifier; eventually, all those kind of concerns usually resove themselves naturally. He is beautiful. I saw the suits Randi made; makes me feel bad, I have made Elizabeth's little girl one dress. I am re-inspired. Sandra Kennedy

I love the mornings with Lincoln as well! He curls up right beside me, and I love it. Every child is different and every parent has an opinion, BUT I say do what feels right. I do things people say not to do or I said I wouldn't do if I had kids, but they work for me. I also cherish the mornings after we get up because he just sits and smiles and laughs at my ridiculous noises and craziness..:) As for sleeping through the night, I breastfeed him then give him a little extra breast milk in a bottle since my supply is at the lowest, and he sleeps until 5 or 6 am. We also stick to a feeding routine throughout the day, which I think helps.

LOVE that picture!! That would be my favorite time of day too. William still doesn't always sleep through the night. Of course just in the last 2 months have I stopped the night feedings. For me it was easier to feed him and go back to bed than listen to him cry. Yeah I'm a sucker. I'm with Laurie do whatever you think is right.

Sophie woke up several times a night until she was about 8 months old That was when I weaned her from breatfeeding. She also had ear trouble and starting sleeping much better after PE tubes were put in. It's nice when they can put their own paci back in their mouth too. It's so frustrating but life will eventually return to normal!! Hang in there!!

Ignore my crazy husband's comment. That is such a sweet picture! I used to put Beau in bed with us for that early morning feeding and nurse him back to sleep. Then we would both get up an hour or two later when Abby got up! They are so sweet when they fall asleep with you. I think enjoy it while you can. One day we will wake up and wish they were little again so we could do those types of things again! Can't wait to see ya'll this weekend!

Courtney, what are you concerned about? You did the same thing. You turned out fine. You are a wonderful mother, and I am so proud of you and Michael.
