A must see...

I am starting parent/child swim lessons with Will this month. I was talking to Casey about it and she sent me this AMAZING video. If you have kids you HAVE to watch this! I can't believe they can teach 6 month old babies to do this! I hope Will will learn this in class....

That's great! I have thought about these lessons as well. Are you putting Will through that training as in the video, or is it another swimming program? Tell me more :)

Okay, so I've seen this video tons of time and everytime I watch it, I get stressed out. Starting swimming lesson is great and I know you'll have fun!!!

Did you ever see the video of abby at her lessons. They teach them that exact thing, and in order to complete the classes she had to have a test where she fell in the water in her clothes. Those teachers truly are amazing. I would highly recommend it. As far as I know no one down here teaches it. I want Beau to take lessons, too.

I tried to do this last year but the class filled up. I'm really hoping to get in this spring.

Wow! I must say the video did scare me a bit. I can't imagine seeing Emily fall into a pool like that. Let us know how the classes go. I'm really interested!

James took the IRS course when we were down in Florida last year. It was extremly hard for me to watch the first couple lessons. I got a glimpse of what it would be like if my son was drowning. He quickly got the idea that if he flipped over to his tummy that he wasn't going to breathe. And the instructor let him stay struggling like that for a couple seconds.....I cried his first couple lessons. But I knew that it was to protect him and to save his life one day.
I posted photos of James in the water on my blog, just scroll down and you will see them. Let me know how it goes Courtney!
